Teamwork

There are many people in different ways assisting me to do my job as a professional golf player. Everyone on the team has an important and unique part for it to work. In the writing of this text, I thought back and forth on who was part of my team; until I realized that I do not have a team that I can put my name on exactly. I would describe it this way:

I am privileged to collaborate in great teamwork with many different people all the time, both on the course and life in general. In this teamwork, everyone has their unique and equally important parts to contribute with.

To get the most out of a team, my experience is that the teamwork has to be equal and respectful. These are the cornerstones of the work I do with my coach, Annchristine Lundstrom. I have also put great effort in bringing that into how I relate with people I meet. No matter if it is with my caddie, in other team situations, or with individuals outside of the team. I can't say that it works perfectly, but I continue to strive to have equal and respectful meetings in all aspects of my life.

Moments with the Team: Calling home after several weeks on the road and hearing my kids Thea and Ceasar talk about their day. It means an awful lot to me knowing that the kids have a good time at home with my wife. To know that she shares my drive to grow and develop as a person is also a great support.

Receiving a much-needed treatment from my physiotherapist after a long day at the course - joking around with my caddy on the third hole, having fun being on the course. An honest piece of feedback from my coach, who puts her finger on something that is important in order to develop even more of my personal leadership, always through equal cooperation and trust in my ability. All this and more gives me the opportunity to do something I truly love; playing golf.
