Annchristine Lundstrom on Robert

Personally I have grown a lot working with Robert. One example of that is when I was in the audience and Robert who was the speaker told a group of politicians and business people that it was his firm belief that there are no personalities. I went “Gulp” as I heard the whole room go Gulp! Then he explained in the most profound way what he meant. (Read about what he said in "About Robert") I have found Robert to be extremely determined, he sees others as his equal, he is honest, and he willingly shares his understandings with the hope that it can assist others in some way. Also in my opinion Robert shows his fearlessness by choosing to have a female coach in the sometimes conservative world of golf.

Robert on Annchristine Lundstrom

Annchristine is the most straightforward person that I have worked with during my golf career. When we started working together in the beginning of 2003 I was thinking about quitting golf because I felt frustrated that I hadn’t found a way to access the potential I knew I had within me. Annchristine expressed that she was convinced that I would be able to access more of my potential and I was ready, open and curious to find out if that was possible. I felt I had nothing to lose since I had tried just about everything else already. That turned out to be a very good decision. During the years we have worked together I have learned a lot from her. Annchristine is a courageous, straightforward and honest person. I find it very exciting to work together with her and my wife Ebba totally agrees.

Dale Richardson on Robert

Robert Karlsson is the consummate professional. Extremely self motivated, Robert has a wonderful work ethic and is continually striving to improve. Being open minded is an asset that few have and Robert leaves no stone unturned in being the best he can be both physically and mentally. Robert goes about his work with a minimum of fuss and is a sincere and intelligent professional golfer. A pleasure to work with!

Robert on Dale Richardson

Dale is an Australian physiotherapist with an enormous amount of knowledge around everything that has to do with the body. We started working together in April 2007. Then, after sixteen, seventeen years as a professional golfer, my body had started to ache here and there. Since I started to work with Dale my body has improved dramatically. Dale is very professional and really truly cares about his clients. For instance when I had the eye condition – he found out everything that he could about that condition. Dale is very considerate and contributes with everything that he can, making sure that all muscles functions is on top. In his team, Dale has several other people that help with training programs etc.I appreciate Dale and his team tremendously – he is a curious, driven and careing person.

Mark Blackburn on Robert

I joined Team Karlsson in 2007. Since then it has been great being part of the team supporting Robert being one of the worlds elite golfers. His eagerness to learn is matched only by his willingness to implement new ideas and techniques. Robert's determination to become the best player he can be is truly inspiring. He is the consummate professional and a model student who's always trying to turn his deficiencies into strengths. I truly believe Robert's best golf is yet to come!

Robert on Mark Blackburn

I met Mark in fall 2007 and we have been working together since then. He assists me with my swing technique. We also discuss practice in general, how to best plan my training. What I really appreciate with Mark is that he sees technique only as a small part of how I perform, considering that there are so many other factors to it. We talk quite a lot about things outside the course. He is often the one trying to slow things down instead of going for full speed. If I’m about to find something new, he often advises me to take it slow and let things fall into place instead of forcing something to happen. Mark is eager to learn, caring, very British and an excellent cook.
