Play Schedule 2016
I’m based on the PGA European Tour. When I pick my competitions of the season, I look at it holistically to achieve as good of a flow as possible on all levels of life. Normally, I play a maximum of 4-5 weeks in a row and about 20-24 competitions in a season.
One competition that is a recurring favorite is the PGA Championship at the Wentworth Club just outside London.
En tävling som är en återkommande favorit är PGA Mästerskapen på Wentworth Club straxt utanför London.
My remaining competitions 2016
Castle Stewart is a new acquaintance for me, since the competition travels around. It takes place the week before the British Open and always has a good line-up, as it is played under similar conditions as the British Open.
I will try to qualify for The Open, which played at Royal Troon. I played my first British Open here in 1989! The American Mark Calcavecchia won that time after a playoff.
A big week for me since I will be hosting this Challenge Tour tournament played in Katrineholm. It is also special because everyone involved in Katrineholm have made it possible to create another big tournament in Sweden.
I played with Sören Kjeldsen here last year when he celebrated his 500th competition on the European Tour. The organizers surprised him with a celebration when he came up on the 16th green. A great moment for him and fun for us who played in the same ball.
Many players become giddy like little kids this week, when we have the opportunity to test-drive Porsche cars, since they are the name sponsor of the competition. Great greens last year and well-organized, as always in Germany.
I won here in 2008, which creates extra good memories before this special week. It’s usually long days when amateurs and professionals play together. The tournament takes place on three superb golf courses where the finishing round is played at St. Andrews.
Algarve is fantastic in many ways, but the competition has been marked by rain in recent years. My best achievements here have been second and third place. So this year it’s time for the crowning glory!
